Sew Smart

I'm co-teaching a sewing class at our homeschool co-op... and having a blast!

The 1st week we learned how to sew a straight line on our machines and the girls finished some adorable hair bands and wrist bracelets that I got started for them.

This week we moved on to pillows!!

Some of the girls are also getting creative with appliques on their pillow tops.

This is my version of a Pottery Barn Owl Pillow-
a bit busy, but still cute- if I do say so myself :)

The girls are making owl or penguin appliques similar to these.

Laney made the penguin pillow all by herself-
(well, maybe Nanny helped a little ;)

She's trying to choose a name for her.

She loves her pillow,
and Nanny is sooo proud of her :)
